Plant your own Pollinator Garden

  • The Village Refillery 3650 Corrales Rd Corrales United States (map)

Join us for spring planting on First Sunday in Corrales!

The weather should be beautiful this time of year, so we’ll be hosting this event in the outdoor open space in front of The Old Schoolhouse (where our shop is located). We’ll guide you through selecting from a variety of native seeds and seedlings beneficial to our native species of pollinators. Using compostable repurposed materials as seed planting trays, you’ll construct your own pollinator seed tray that you can then plant straight in your garden once seedlings have matured.

This workshop will also include an educational element by Tammy Wenderlich, owner of the Desert Bird Mercantile. An avid pollinator advocate, she’ll teach us about the importance of native pollinators, how to help pollinator conservation efforts, and how to foster the growth of a successful pollinator garden in the desert!

Several of the local businesses located at The Old Schoolhouse (including us) will be offering special promotions this day for workshop attendees. You’ll also have a chance to enter our raffle (prize giveaway will include merch from participating local businesses)!

This is a family/kid friendly event, and a great chance for younger generations to work with their hands, learn about plants & pollinators, and develop a love of gardening! Note: you do not need to purchase separate tickets for children attending the event unless they want to construct their own seed tray. Each ticket purchase includes one seed tray, seeds/seedlings, and soil.
